I don't know why but my kids are fabulous today! They are so much fun...maybe it's because I was gone yesterday, so they missed me. Maybe it's because I love listening to them talk about what they want for Christmas and just being in awe about our Christmas Around the World discussions. They are absolutely loving learning about other countries...why can't grown-ups be innocent enough to enjoy learning new simple things? Days like today are why I love my job and every student I have ever had.
ps. I am way excited about the staff Christmas party tonite. I will have to write about it tomorrow...I am sure there will be something crazy to talk about. Also, excited to get Elton John and Billy Joel tickets........

The Case's Rule-The Kern's Drool
So, I am a little tired today due to our very serious evening last night. We were up late playing Wii online with the Kerns...what game you ask...MarioKart...the best game ever!
It was absolutely hilarous with all of us sitting on speakerphone, chatting while playing as if we were actually in the same room together. The Case's of course drove amazingly well...due to hours of training...and came in 1st and 2nd every time. We throughly enjoyed our opponents and their efforts, clearly as we will have many a rematch I am sure. The best part however was not the winning but the fact that Steph chose to baby peach, baby mario, etc...and then chose the baby buggy as her vehicle of choice. Needless to say, her buggy didn't drive well, and it keep making a u-turn everytime she tired to turn even the slightest bit...it was hilarious watching/listening to her with the stupid buggy! Anyways, it was a great time and it made me realize why I love my friends so much...because they are willing to play MarioKart online with us!

Christmas Decor
Well Christmas has thrown up in my house officially now. Almost finished decorating last night, which means my floors are covered in boxes and bubble wrap. This is tricky with Guinness as he wants to eat the bubble wrap, and thinks that he can't get to the front door eventhough there is a 2 foot wide passage way shall we call it between said boxes and the tree. He's hilarious because who would think one box 4 inches high would keep a great dane at bay.... I have apparently found the way to baracade my dog into any space...use an ornament box...of course why didn't I think of it before. What can I say my dog is crazy and we love every minute of it! I will have to post pictures of him with the tree and whatnot among the chaos that is decorating. Also, peanut brittle making has begun, but I still have a butt ton more to make. I should probably call my friends and set up a dinner to give them their peanut brittle, otherwise I'll eat it all.... =)
The addiction of the blog
So lately my addiction to typing on my blog has been slacking off, well it's back thanks to my friend Stephanie. She sent me a link to one of my parents blogs, and now I have a new fun background (feel free to compliment) and she has started her own blog. Therefore, I must now keep up my blog even more, so as to not be out done by my friend. lol! Sadly, my kids and parents at school have done nothing crazy or entertaining to blog about...give me till the end of the day-I'm sure something will come up...!

Better Late than Never

So I realized today that I haven't posted in a while, nor did I update everyone on the trip to Clearwater, FL. So here are some pictures of our view and of us in Florida.
The company Jeremy works for is in Clearwater, FL, so I get to go every year with Jeremy to their yearly conference. It is so much fun to see the people and friends that he works with and from the partner compani
es that come as well. This year there was a happy hour on the deck at the beach, which was fun except that it was freezing cold for Florida. I'm talking I had my coat on people, it was like 55 degrees with the breeze from the ocean. There was also a dinner cruise around the bay, complete with Halloween costumes of course, seeing as it was Halloween weekend. Jeremy was a Whoopie cushion and I was a beer wench, fitting in some ways for both I suppose.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Awww...it's that time of year again, where parents try to be in denial about their children. Cracks me up sometimes when they are like really I don't see that, or are you sure they are behaving well...umm I said that didn't I. Sometimes I wish I could just tell them to come in for a day and let me go to the spa and they can figure out how to watch, teach, and help raise 21 seven year olds...that would be lovely. Maybe I will put that on my Christmas wish list...haha! I'd end up with a room full of kids out of control and a parent who would never again enter my classroom. (which might be nice to have some parents out of my room) Overall, though it is going well, and I so appareciate when they tell me how they couldn't see how to do this job, and that I am a wonderful teacher...that's always nice to hear. So remember that when you have kids, give your child's teacher a little break every once and a while and tell them nice things you like about them or their classroom...you'll probably get alot more nice comments about your child in return. Just my thoughts for the day.

Valium & Guinness
So you would think all the pain meds and Valium would be a good thing for a dog after surgery right... Well when the dog weighs 120 lbs. and won't leave his crate, it makes it difficult for one to take a drugged up dog who doesn't care about a darn thing right now (hence the Valium) outside to pee. Thus you end up coming home to a husband who is taking around the crate around the dog while you get to hear about how he somehow managed to pee in his bed without getting the top wet, just the bottom. Now wouldn't be so bad except this the is bed that he ripped to shreds two weeks ago and so the fluff inside is not in any kind of inner bag, which then brings me to how to wash the outer cover, sanitize the fluff, and keep the dog happy and not bleeding on furniture or carpet while the washing occurs. I would imagine this all wouldn't be so annoying if I didn't have crazy ass parents at work today.
I have a set of parents who have their own church, pastor, etc...and complain about a book I am reading involving prophecies and say they don't believe in prophecies...Now correct me if I am wrong but I think there are a few of those in the Bible, so needless to say I am confused. I stop reading said book, and begin another, which they are now complaining about because it has what they would consider a plam reader. Again I am confused because I thought I taught in a public school, but what do I know. I will try to maintain my patience tomorrow while meeting with the parents who took these complaints straight to my principal by the way, and are just now discussing these issues with me tomorrow.
I've had a fantastic day, how was yours?

My baby is hurt.

I am so very sad because Guinness broke his leg Friday afternoon, and had to have surgery to place a pin in his leg yesterday mng. He is very drugged up and sleepy. He did eat breakfast this mng, and has let us clean his leg up and remove the bandage. He hasn't however wanted to leave his crate. He stood up once this mng and wobbled and was like no way am I going to keep trying to do this, turned around and layed back in his house. I hate it that he is hurting, and that he isn't up and in my face like usual, I don't like that he is sleeping so far away from us at night, and I don't like that I can't fit in his crate with him to cuddle. I never thought I would miss being attacked at 6am but I do. And I want my baby to get better fast...I mean who's going to ma
ke me go running everyday now...???? And he's just plain pathetic....And thanks to those of you for your wonderful thoughts and prayers!

back to reality
so reality crashed into the case world today...
we were cleaning our house today, and then went to jeremy's gma's to help clean out her house. we then took a load of trash to the dump...yes i said dump...ever been? DON'T GO! it's utterly disgusting...i can't use enough adjectives to describe our experience. but man the world has alot of trash...
while on our way to the dump we got a call from jeremy's mom who said jason was taking jess (sister in law) to the er because she couldn't taste anything since last nite and then today her left eye was all swollen when she woke up. then at lunch she and jason went to chick fil a and she couldn't close her mouth around a straw and her drink just spilled out around her mouth...
after arriving at the er we sat around being able to visit her one at a time for over 2 hours until the doc came to examine her and ordered a CAT scan and blood work. another hour later, after rotating to visit with her, her tests came back clear and fine, so no tumor that's good, no random diseases or viruses, but she has Bell's pasly. and although that is totally shaking all our world's right now because she and jason are getting married in 4 months and she's really freaking that her face won't look right for her wedding...and i really do get her fear. the doc says she will make a full recovery quickly but quickly to him is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-9 weeks, but bells pasly can sometimes take up to 9 months to full recover. we are all of course praying for a very speedy recovery, and will be spending lots of family time together, but please pray for my sister in law as their are other complications that can come from having bells pasly and of course the fact that it is hard to look at yourself smile or close your eyes and not see the person you once saw.
needless to say it was an exhausting day...

Olympics
I feel like all I am doing lately is watching the olympics, don't get me wrong I love watching most of it, but it is getting pretty draining. And it tooks up way too much freakin' space on the dvr...leaves no room for my days of our lives and jon & kate plus 8...hahaha. We did get away from the tv for most of the wkend to clean out the g-parent's (graff) house since they have moved into Montereau (sp?) We had a good time with the fam...but now my sinuses are killing me from all the dust and random trash stashed in random places throughout the house. We are now back to watching the olympics, track and field, (jeremy's fav being a runner and all) not my fav, but it's ok. Don't feel like going to school tomorrow, but I have to, so therefore I must go to bed now. Goodnite all,

About the First Day of School
Ok, so you think you only have so many 1st days of school in your life that you must suffer through...well it's my personal self choice of hell FOREVER. I don't know why I get so freakin' anxious, nervous, nauseated, etc... but it happens every year. Although I do have to say that this year the first day went rather smoothly...so much so that I am left wondering what I forgot and where...a child in the bathroom, didn't explain the agenda, recess, who knows at this point honestly. I haven't got all their faces down yet, or their parents, so maybe someone went home with the wrong adult...haha...not really funny. The personal hell includes all of these wonderings and more...it also involves children not able to tie shoes, button and unbutton pants (sometimes), sharpen pencils, read instructions and the agenda, and they don't know where everything is in the room. I mean I just groomed and molded 22 fantastic children to do all those things by themselves including reading like there is no tomorrow, and now alas I am back to babies again and it is THE hardest thing to revert my mind to where it needs to be to accept these new kiddos. I have to bring the patience to the forefront and times it by a million, and also remember to repeat myself a gajillion times....aargghhh! If you would like to know more about the first few days of school feel free to stop by for an in person experience (& see how much patience you have)...we love visitors!
About Breaking Dawn

I can't find the words for how phenominal this book is. (or the series for that matter) I read it in four days...I was totally worthless after Friday the 1st at Midnight (yes Nat and Jennifer and I went to B&N) until I finished the book. It was one of those where you want so desperately to finish the entire saga, and yet want it to go on forever (but that would be silly). Although I am totally happy with the way everything ended, and can't wait to see what types of things Stephenie Meyer will think to write about next.

Breaking Dawn and Starting School
Between these two things I have no time to blog, so this is all you get for now...talk to you in a week or so. But loved the book and excited for a new group of kiddos!

TAG I'm it!
Well you can thank Blaze for this b/c I have been tagged...
Six Quirky things about Me-
1. (Most important) I don't like for my ears to be touched even if I know it's coming, and yes I know that is like the brother on Something about Mary, and no I don't wear earmuffs.
2. My closet is sorted into various items: sweaters, pants, capris, tanktops, long sleeved dress shirts, sleeveless dress shirts, short sleeved dress/going out shirts, etc...from there they are color coded...and the color code even fades from one color right into the next one. For example, greens together in various shades go from emerald green to say teal which would then lead into blues...
3. I have to ALWAYS lock my car and then press the button again to hear it honk, but only one honk, more than one and we have to start all over by unlocking and relocking.
4. I can't stand to have my hands dirty which is hard since I teach 1st grade and I am an artist...let's just say I go through lots of wipes and soap.
5. It is a rarity for me to go somewhere and not use the restroom...I almost always have to go even I am only there for like 5 mins., but then there are so many germs I must wash extensively and even use hand sanitizer once out of the bathroom. In the same breathe I must go the restroom right before leaving the house, literally stop Jeremy all the time while he is setting the alarm b/c I must pee, even if I don't really have to.
6. I could watch any show that pertains to surgery or medicial issues. It doesn't matter if it is about problem solving a weird illness, having a baby, a boob job, guy with something perturding from his head...I love it all...the more blood and organs the better.
I tag...

My 26th Birthday
My 26th birthday was on Friday, and I had a great time going to dinner with my family. We went In the Raw and it was totally delicious as always. Then we headed home for some ice cream cake and presents! I love presents! My fabulous husband surprised me with MarioKart the nite before my bday (so I could "play it before anyone else comes over this wkend" so cute...), and it of course came with 2 wheels, can't drive w/o wheels! My mom and John got me GuitarHero Aerosmith...I am freakin' excited people...and Jeremy got me a flying V guitar so we have two and can play together...awwww. I also got Coach sneakers, a shirt and sandals from my sissy, Twilight and New Moon in hardback from Mama, 3 new shirts from gma and gdad, and mother-in-law took me shopping for clothes (2 dresses, couple shirts). Saturday my sis, her roomie Jackie, and Jerm and I went to the pool and got a little red as Jackie would say, but had a blast together...then fixed tacos for everyone at our house. Had tons of friends over, ate, drank...alot, played mariokart and guitarhero intoxicated...hey don't knock it till you try it! I really enjoyed all my fun cards everyone got me, and loved having everyone together. (I am such a nester, wanting lots of people around at all times) Sis and Jackie left early Sun. mng (we didn't make it to church, oops...it was going to have to be the early service) b/c my dad and della came up for lunch and brought me an awesome $200 visa card...I'm thinking new running shoes to go along with the getting healthy. It was a really great but LONG wkend! And I still have to party it up with Jeremy's fam tomorrow nite, but I get more presents..haha! Anyways I loved every minute of this past weekend. Family and Friends are the BEST!
Our 4th Anniversary
Can you believe Jeremy and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on the 10th? Yeah me either.... But it was wonderful, we went to dinner and saw The Phantom of the Opera (Jeremy's favorite musical). So much has happened in our lives in 4 year, it is really hard to believe...I mean in 4 years we bought a timeshare in Hawaii, built our dream house, went to Italy for 2 weeks, got Guinness, Jeremy got a new job, I applied for my NBTC...that's alot of bigtime stuff from our list of things to accomplish...hehe. Anyways, we are more in love than we were when we got married if that's even possible, and we absolutely love our life!

You can't be serious...
Jeremy and I went to dinner last nite with his g-parents and parents b/c the g-parents had a family friend pass away...trying to take their mind off it etc... So I am trying to be good about what I eat and drink b/c I am trying to lose some weight/get in better shape, you know how that goes. Well I was proud of myself not ordering a "beverage" and just drinking water (have been for like the last week-peeing alot...) and had a grilled piece of chicken with veggies, salad, skipped desert all that good stuff. I have been running/walking/swimming (one of those) everyday for a few days...it's hard for me to do since I technically can't run everyday due to lack of cartlidge in my right knee...yeah, it's like 40 yrs. old while the rest of me is 25...(still 25 for two more days hehe) But I have been trying to do more physically... Needless to say I am feeling really good about my self physically and mentally then today Jeremy says his mom called this mng...here is the "you can't be serious part." She apparently actually had the guts to tell Jeremy she noticed I haven't been drinking the last few times we've been out together, and ask if I was just trying to be healthy, diet, etc...or were we trying to get pregnant? OMG! Not only do I feel that is something totally private until we decide to TELL you, not for you to ask, regardless of if you are family or friend, but it makes you feel pressure...who needs that, certainly not us! Don't get me wrong I love my mother-in-law, but I am kinda in shock...oh and after he said, "NO, she is just trying to diet." She said, "Oh Damn! I was just wondering..." Feel the pressure....it's like Darth Vader breathing on you. (again *w/ patience* I do love my mother-in-law) Anyways, for those of you that see me out and about I am drinking water b/c I want to be healthy and skinny, not b/c I am pregnant..I repeat NOT pregnant. Trust me people when the time comes I will let you know b/c we will be exstatic, well ok I will be, Jeremy may pass out first then be exstatic, but at any rate we will let you know when we want to let you know. (which is not now)

Popsicles, Beer, and Blowing Sh^* up!
This past weekend we loaded up with car complete with dog's condo, and went to Edmond for the 4th. On top of seeing all my family and the craziness involved, my mom, John, and Mama moved into their new house. I do have to say it was fun to help out and I am exstatic about the fact that Guinness did not eat anything out of the million boxes strewn about the house. I fully expected at any point to see shreds of newspaper or bubblewrap all over the house, but he was SO good...I am such a proud mommy! I have posted pics to show you just how huge he is getting...and how huge the condo is that we pack up each time we go anywhere over night.
So Thursday nite we got to town, and went to the new OKC McNellie's to have dinner with some of my family. It was so good to see my cousins and their kids. Jeremy decided to make a huge straw in order to steal beer from Tyler's glass, in which case made the kids want really huge straws from cousin Jeremy...so what does my husband do, he of course makes them for two four year olds(cale and emma)...so they can drink their pop with the straws...did you think we'd honestly let them have beer....ok we might but give it a few more years. Emily even arrived from the airport from London to celebrate the 4th...It was a great time.
Friday was the 4th and we always go to my cousin Matt's for food, a keg of some kind, and fireworks. It's always good to mix beer and fire right?
So we all swam, drank, ate, and lit stuff on fire...including myself...ok not technically on fire. But I did have a whole mortor blow up basically on my butt...We had a multiple shot firework exploded from all sides, and while running away trying to find emma and cale one shot right at my backside, and then erupted into wonderful green and white fireworks...I mean I have lit fireworks for 20 years and now when trying to teach new little people how to be safe with fireworks one EXPLODES! Craziness...so yeah I spent the rest of the evening in the pool followed by a drunk Tricia taping pieces of aloe plant to my legs...thankful she did that because the next mng you could barely see the couple of spots where I got burned, and only one spot really hurt that next day. Would you think I would continue to set off fireworks? Damn right I will and did!

The next nite, Sat., we went back to Matt and Tricia's to set off the rest of our fireworks, since our "show" was temporarily cancelled the nite before due to the explosion, and I of course against Jeremy's wishes finished off my fireworks, and no I didn't get burned again. That exploding cake was a fluke...hehehe...We did lots of sparklers and smokebombs with emma, and emptied the keg, and polished off the hot dogs...oh yeah and played a little rock band...my family is hilarious, sadly no pictures of that!So despite my backside being blownup while rescuing children for rocketing fire, it was a fantastic 4th of July. It actually kind of makes me sad that I don't get to spend more time like that with my family...I mean look at those 3 faces eating it up...wouldn't you love to see them more often? I would...I will have to make more effort to see the whole fam when I am in town...

The Host
Oh and I forgot to post that I finished The Host this past Sunday...all I have to say is OMG go get the book already! Call me if you want to discuss-I don't want to be a spoiler. =)
why?
Don't you hate it when you're trying to water your flowerbeds and the trashy construction workers across the street are whistling at you? ME TOO! Not only had they clearly seen Jeremy out there earlier with me, but it's just trashy! I mean in my own neighborhood...it's not like I can just leave the place I am at to get away from them...it's my freakin' house! So after several minutes of "being harassed" as Jeremy put it, I go inside tell him what's up and I call the builder...yeah you heard me. I simply let him know that it was actually quite disturbing that I couldn't water my own lawn without being whistled at or talked about...oh yes they stopped working and talk about my butt...I mean honestly is there no decency even on our own street anymore?! The mexicans working on the houses around here at least just glance and whisper...but these two pieces of whitetrash actually had a conversation about me when I was less than 20 feet away! Get a life!

Sunburned
Why do we feel compelled to lay out when we know we will get a little too red? Well I surpassed a little too red this wkend...between time last week at the pool with Jeremy and time at the pool with Lily and Maddie, this Sunday finally did me in...The one time I decide to not put suncreen anywhere but my face because I would like to not look like a ghost in June and therefore skip from ghost to fried something. It's so bad that Jeremy and the girls both comment that my pink bra and I are the same color and it hurts to sit on the couch/sleep on my back/shower/put clothes on...So if you see me out at the pool tell me to not be stupid and put suncreen on not only to save me the pain but all the wrinkle/skin cancer...I should KNOW better!

Addicted to Jon & Kate + 8
Yeah so, I can't stop watching Jon and Kate plus 8 (on TLC)! What is wrong with me?! It absolutely cracks me up with twin 6 year olds and six 2 year olds...if this isn't entertainment I don't know what is! I find it trully fascianting that one woman could squeeze that many children into her body...I mean seriously I am all for two-four kids (each seperate) but twins and then 6 at one time...insane! Anyways, the show is back on...gotta go feed the habit!

Lily and Maddie
The summer adventures of Lily, Maddie, and I
Lily and Maddie are the girls I am nannying (is that a word?) this summer. They are an absolute blast, and I am missing them today. I had a doc appt. this mng and Maddie one this afternoon, so I couldn't keep them. Lily is 8 and going into 3rd grade and Maddie is 11 and going into 6th grade, so they are pretty much up for anything and it's great. Yesterday Maddie had soccer camp, and afterwards we were going to go see a movie. Well there was only one issue, Maddie didn't want to take a shower after soccer camp, and said she didn't need one. (She's not a girly girl-wears soccer shorts and ponytails all the time.) After 10 mins. of asking her to shower and Lily telling her that yes she was stinky even when she does shower, just beacuse she is Maddie, we settled on washing off with dirt on her knees and arms with a washcloth. Then we were off to the movies...to see Kung Fu Panda...it was so cute! However, rather silly to talk about him being fat all the time...you would think with him working out that much to be a Kung Fu master, he'd loose some weight, but no.... Maddie and Lily ate an entire Med. bag of popcorn and a box of Buncha Crunch...they are bottomless pits I tell you! Then after a week of getting along I knew a big blow up was due to happen...between the two of them that is. So everyone is all happy after the movie, and we get home where Maddie decides she wants to just watch tv in her room, and Lily decides she wants to annoy her sister...anyone surprised? I wasn't being an older sister myself...Maddie yells at Lily to leave, Lily claims she is leaving, but Maddie keeps yelling that she will come right back in because Lily is literally only about an inch out of her room...I asked Lily to not go into Maddie's room if she doesn't want company, and Lily screams "I'm not in her room!" *while slamming the door to her own room* At this moment, I had a massive flashback/flashforward moment. Flashback-Always asking Caitlin to leave me alone b/c she always wanted to be doing something or next to me or by me, anything, and then I would eventually get frustrated enough and yell, followed by her storming off crying and *slamming her door*. Flashforward-These two beautiful blonde hair blue eyed girls arguing could easily be my children, and I can hear the many conversations that come with having a sister/or daughters in my own house in just a few years...maybe a good time to pray for boys???? Forget about boys or girls-children in general never hit so close to home in previous flashforward thoughts in life as this one did...does that mean I am getting old? Or that the amount of time from now until having kids is a shorter amount of time than when I was one? Now, now no one is saying that is tomorrow, but in the next few years, it's just that confrontation btw Maddie and Lily made me feel very momlike. (I think it was b/c Lily was yelling at me and slamming doors.) Ahhh the things to look forward too in life...luckily they are all cute, soft, and smell goodie before they start screaming at you and slamming doors.
I hope you enjoyed this installment of Lily and Maddie...I am sure there will be more to come this summer.
Crappy "Professional Development"
So Natalie and I spent the day (8:30-3) wasting away in a room at Fulton Learning Center...wish we'd been wasting away in margaritaville...no luck. It was a session described as ESL (English as a 2nd Lang.) Strategies...and was clearly a presentation for an ESL curriculum...because we have money for that...no, nor do I have enough ESL kids to have a totally seperate curriculum for them. I mean did I really want to spend one of my summer days listening to someone talk about how great their books are, and these activities would go great with our books, blah, blah, blah! How the hell am I suppose to use your damn activities if all you give me is one sample practice book or reader when I have more than one kid who needs it, or if I need three more pieces in your oh-so-fancy collection to complete the activities you have presented!? Had we known that the day would have been 80% of the new curriculum you can't afford presentation, 15% statistics we already knew, and 5% actual useful activities and/or developmentally appropriate things for our kidos...then WE WOULDN'T HAVE GONE! I mean holy-hell Mr. Superintendent no one and I MEAN NO ONE wants to spend their summer attending 12 hours of professional development, let alone prof. dev. that is not even useful! Someone should kick him in the ass right out the TPS door and not let him return...he's a total and utter moron! I am going to have to tell Blaze to blog about him so he will get fired...I am no good at harnessing super human strength these days. Thanks for letting me rant...I feel much better now...hopefully the rest of my day/evening will be fantastic-going out to McNellie's to celebrate Mere's big 2-5. At least I know the evening will be more productive than the day today-yeah for beer!

the randomness of SPAMALOT *&me*
My wonderful mom bought tickets for the fam to go see Spamalot this past wkend...and all I can say is it was sooo outrageously funny that Jeremy and I were both crying from laughing so hard! It took the best parts of Monty Python's Holy Grail, and pieced them together with hilarious songs. One song was just called "A Song like This" because it just kept repeating that at this point in the musical there should be a song like this *accompanied by music to evoke strong emotion* somewhat like a love song at a totally random time...sounds confusing, but really they just stuck songs in places. Another one came after the knights names Nei request a shurbbery, and then require a Broadway musical production...followed with Sir Robin singing about how they can't be successful on Broadway without a Jew in the musical. *followed by giant, and I mean giant, light up star of David* Absolutely frickin' hilarious! I highly recommend you see it if you ever have the opportunity.
Was a huge nerd today @ Barnes and Noble & preordered my copy of Breaking Dawn and reserved my spot to go to the "release party." Blame Natalie and Yenny...it's all their fault I am obsessed. I have delved further into The Host in the last few days, still hard to get into, but getting better. Lots of internal struggle right now...looking very promising...& I love the way Stephenie Meyer writes, so that makes it really easy to read.
*Soapbox moment*
I am also coaching soccer camp this week, and I have the 4-6 yr. old group. They make me tired... There is this one kid who's 4, and is so "pudgy" that she looks like she is packed in bubble wrap! It's ridiculous and surely she has some kind of medical something otherwise that's just not fair to feed your child so much they get to that point...she's 4 clearly she isn't fixing dinner! As a plus, she is getting exercise by coming to camp...but I am still in total shock about how large this child is for her age, she is the right height and talks in the sweetest voice and it totally 4...she asked me to stop the game we were playing to wait for her while she had to go to the bathroom because she didn't want to miss anything. All with super curly hair put into pigtails on the sides of her head...How adorable! So yes cute, but disturbing at the same time, makes me want to bring her home and feed her veggies and go for walks and ride bikes.

HAHA!
I just had a great laugh...Guiness was backwards with head hanging off the chair right? Well he just slid off the chair and fell onto the floor with a big plop and just laid there like "what the hell? how did I end up down here!" It was great...too bad it was just me who say it!
Guinness is 1!
My baby dog is 1! Can you believe it??? Tuesday was his birthday and we went to the park to see some of our dog friends and have pupcakes. Yeah I know I am a huge nerd, but he's my baby and Jeremy and I have so much fun with him. We need to get a can of Guinness and take his picture with it like we did when we got him, so we can compare sizes... =) When he is standing we can pet his back w/o any effort to bend our arm or bend over...lol...as for weight, I dunno, we need to go to PetsMart and weigh him again. I would guess in the 125-130 lb. range, but who knows. We've been trying to put some weight on him b/c he looks very skinny, and now that we have his allergies all figured out he is eating raw chicken...yum! (We had allergy testing done b/c he broke out in hives and pimple type things and was sick to his tummy about a month ago.) So he eats about 2 lbs. of chicken twice a day now, yes bone and all, and no it's only cooked bone that dogs can't have...raw is fine b/c it just crunches done. It's pretty ummm "african safari" to watch him eat, with all the crunching and tearing and whatnot, oh and now he has decided he needs to bark at the chicken before during and after eating it! Not so good at 7am for the neighbors b/c we feed him outside. I will try to post some pics of him eating, among other things. To wrap-up for those of you who have seen the chair in my living room, Guinness is now laying across is with his head hanging backwards of the front of the chair... lol!

Finally Done!
So i finally mailed my National Board of Teaching Standards portfolio yesterday...*sigh* I am so glad to be done with that part of the process, now I have to start studying for the 6 tests I will take on May 31st. Then and only then will I be "done" but have to wait till Nov. to see if I passed...total madness I tell you what do these people think I am made of patience???
On a lighter note, that means I have more time to spend with friends, and read books or watch tv. Oh yeah and of course there is always soccer that I have to get back to. I really need to start running again now that I have some free time, so I can play again soon...jeremy and I are going to look into a gym I think so we don't get any fatter... lol Speaking of soccer, I have to go coach...

Craziness of life
So, I found out yesterday from my friend Stephanie that Stephanie Meyer has a new book coming out called "The Host." Supposed to be kind of body snatcherish...and we can't wait till August for the 4th book to come out in the Twilight series...Also the movie of Twilight comes out in Oct, and on her website there are pictures of the characters and cars and whatnot and it looks totally awesome! My friends and I are just slightly obsessed... =)
On another note, I only have 5 pages left to write from scratch on my NBC portfolio, and 8 days till I have to mail it...so why am I on here you ask...because I've lost my mind and can't think of another stinkin' thing to write. I mean who wants to talk for 13 pages about two children's literacy development??? At any rate, I have to get it done because if I pass it means 5,000/year for 10 years...just a little incentive there.
On top of being stressed out about that...Guinness jumped out of the back of my car today when we got home from the dog park. (normal) He then proceeded to run into the neighbor's driveway and then back yard and then the two empty MUDDY lots next to them and then back to their backyard (not normal!) Jeremy and I were way stressed about it because we of course didn't want him to step on some construction something or worse continue to run away. We've also decided it's about time to get him fixed...we can't stand the craziness any longer but we don't want to do it too soon because we want him to grow to his full size. Despite the crazy puppy stuff he is still the cutest sweetest guy ever...and if you haven't met him in person yet, you definately should come over... =)

much needed girl time-
I went to dinner with some of my favorite girls tonite, and had a blast. I am so super stressed out about my NBC papers (one entry out of four to go), and it's due March 31st...yeah let the panic begin! So dinner out was just what I needed, and love my friends for talking about stuff ranging from books were are reading to issues with birth control and of course the cuteness of Parker. Anyway, I should move on to my paper again...so until later probably after the 31st. LOL!

It's been a while-
Well, I haven't posted in forever it seems like because after reading Twilight I then proceeded to procrastinate life even more by reading New Moon and Eclipse, the other two books in the series. They were just as wonderful as the first book and has definately confimed my obsession with the series. Natalie, Jennifer and I can't wait for the fourth book in Aug. and we have convinced Steph and our tech teacher to read them too...haha just more to join the "cult" of the vampires. haha =)
On other topics we had a full family wkend-Jeremy goes out of town again on Wed., he has to be gone over next wkend this time-man is that going to suck. I'll have to remind what it is like to be single on the wkends again...haha! Guinness has gotten absolutely ginormous. He weighs around 110lbs. now. We went to the dog park today and Guinness got to see all his dog friends-Dodger the St. Bernard, Fred the Great Pyrenees, Remi the pug, and of course cousin dogs Toby and Tapper. He ran like crazy for an hour and half, that's the most he's ever played, so needless to say he is totally zonked now.
Otherwise life is pretty normal and going great we're just one little happy family! =)

Obessed with Twilight
So, I haven't posted in a while because I finally gave into Natalie and bought the book, Twilight (by Stephenie Meyer), that she wouldn't stop talking about. I knew if I started reading it I wouldn't be able to stop...I was right. Oh my gosh, it is a great read and I am now totally obessed with the whole storyline (just like my friends at school). It is an absolutly amazing love story. All I will say is there is a girl madly in love with a vampire and vice versa, and of course complications will arise. It is trully an addictive read and I couldn't put it down. I finished it within a week or so, and considering I am writing my NBC paper as well that makes it a pretty darn good book. Anyways, I definately recommend it so you should read it and become addicted like my school friends and I. Oh and there are two more books that come after Twilight, and a third to come. They are fantastic you should look into it. I will keep you updated in New Moon, the 2nd book, I start it tomorrow. =)

Tired of Squeaky toys
I can no longer stand the sound of squeaky toys...Guinness has been playing nonstop for the last hour and a half. I mean it's a but ridiculous when the dog is so hyped up he can't even stay with the same toy for more than 5 mins. And I don't know about you but if you had a 100 pound dog sprint across your house with two toys in mouth it might make you a little nervous. Honestly, I think he might have a heart attack because it is so ryled up. Oh wait, he's stop running and is now chasing his own tail. Well at least it's a change of pace. I think he's almost finished running amuck and might actually settle someplace, so that I can get report cards written before bed. I should probably go, so until next time.

Exhausted
Well, I am totally exhausted from this last week of work. I have definitely lost my mind by thinking it was a good idea to try to accomplish something that involves videotaping first graders. I mean did I honestly think they wouldn't act like crazies when it was turned on. Either way I am stuck compiling my application for my national teachers license and actually wouldn't change a thing. However, if Guinness would sleep past 6am that would be fabulous too...but oh no he must pee. Thankful he wakes us up to do so rather than leave a lake by the bedroom door. So between work, my NBC portfolio, and Guinness I have no energy to do laundry (not that i want to), dishes (again not my thing), and even stay awake past 9 to watch tv with my husband, Jeremy.
Hopefully, this next week will be better, but Jeremy is out of town for the week, so it's just me and the beast (Guinness). If you've seen him then you'd agree with the beast comment. Anyways, I may go and take a nap before it is time for the dog park rather than use more energy to type on here.
