Oh the ice is here again.

So the ice is back...every year it feels the need to visit...and I wish it wouldn't. 2006-Stuck in our apartment due to the ice/snow drift on our porch. Had to boil water upstairs then carry it down to pour on the ice to exit the apartment. 2007-It decided to come visit the night we closed on our house. It made for a slippery time traveling to the house to drop off boxes and have a few hours in "our home" before then leaving due to the lack of furniture. Stayed with the inlaws on couchs because we had already packed sheets and taken the bed apart, etc...Who should have to sleep on a couch away from their spouse on the evening they should be in their first house together!? (I hate ice.) We then had to postpone moving day by two days, which required rescheduling appliance/couch/bed delivery...Once moving day came it was still three more days till the fridge arrived, and if you have never seen a loaded semi/large moving van traveling across roads without denting the ice while all of your precious newlywed belongings are inside then well you haven't lived! Needless to say I did enjoy the whole week off to unpack boxes and clean. 2008-Tons of people without power, including Jeremy's grandparents who say they can just turn on their fireplace and be warm rather than coming to stay in one of our two bedrooms...finally drug them over, missed another three days-a week of school because 95% of the tps schools were without power. The dog park, neighborhoods, sidewalks looked like someone had come in with a chainsaw and just cut whatever the hell they wanted to. 2009- The ice is back...so far three days off from school, trying to videotape for my national boards this Friday...well was...not sure it can happen now, which means it gets pushed back to next week which means I start writing my paper later. (I swear if this entry doesn't kill me...) Takes forever for the dog to pee, gets freaked out by the slippage, can't smell anything but wet...looks darn cute with snow stuck to his nose though. * Sorry have to go take him out to sniff more snow and possibly pee...*
